Machol Merkaz, now in its 8th year, is an Israeli Dance Camp based in the Midwest, the virtual center of the United States. Expect participants from all over the country and around the world. You’ll be hard pressed to find a friendlier group of Israeli dancers! Expect a wonderful atmosphere, courtesy of our guests from Israel - Dror Davidi, Eran Bitton, and Hila Mukdasi, and our wonderful Steering Team!

Enjoy a weekend with our lovely Israeli dance community, one of the best floors ever, with one of the best sound systems you'll find anywhere in the IFD world, all in the beautiful camp setting that is the Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute.

October 23-26, 2025 in Oconomowoc Wisconsin (45 minutes west of Milwaukee)

At camp check-in begins Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 2PM in the Soref Rotunda and then moves to the Sports Center from 4-6. Meet and Greet at 6:45 in the Rotunda. Dinner at 7:30. The final dance event will be the Saturday night marathon which will run until the wee hours of Sunday morning. We'll say Lehitra'ot at a late breakfast Sunday morning.

THE REGISTRATION PROCESS - Use this site to submit your registration. All prices quoted are per person. NO WALK-INS WILL BE PERMITTED. Choose whichever housing option matches your preference. When you complete your transaction, the system will send you a confirmation email indicating successful processing. However, we will confirm your accommodation separately and only upon receipt of payment. Your applying to Machol Merkaz 2025 will serve as your agreement to be bound by the Machol Merkaz Health Protocols that will be in effect at the time of camp. We will provide detailed protocol information when we get closer to October 23.

REGISTRATION FEES - Depending on the payment option you choose, there may be an additional fee from the payment processor. (for credit card on this site, 3.5% + 30 cents )

OFFLINE PAYMENT METHODS - You can pay via check, cash, or Zelle with no fees. PayPal charges us 3.5% of your payment, Venmo 2.0%. (If you choose PayPal or Venmo please add enough to the subtotal to cover those fees.) In the payment options section, choose "Offline" and when the transaction is complete, send your Zelle or PayPal payment to [email protected] or Venmo @macholmerkaz. CANCELLATION FEE - Upon cancellation, we will refund your payment less $50 and transaction fees. (But if you cancel within two weeks of camp, we will hold back any fees that OSRUI would have to charge us.)

SCHAALMAN LODGE
The Lodge is an adult/family housing facility with 19 rooms each with two twin beds plus a loft bed and a private bath. (The Lodge will accommodate those signing up for triples BUT ONE OF THE THREE WILL SLEEP IN THE LOFTED TWIN.) A central kitchen is equipped with stove, microwave and refrigerator, and an eating/activity area with tables and 12 to 15 chairs. A separate meeting room accommodates large groups and contains a fieldstone fireplace.

BAYIT/MAIN HOUSE
The original building on the property, the Main House, was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and has been restored with the charm of a country bed-and-breakfast, views of the lake, and an extensive library. 11 private rooms with twin-beds and private bathrooms, accommodating 22 guests.

Please be advised that we reserve the right to cancel this program at any time. If this occurs, upon request your payment will be returned less processing fees. A cancellation initiated by the registrant will result in a refund less $50 and transaction fees. (If you cancel close to the time of camp, we will ask you to cover any charges that OSRUI would pass on to us.)

You agree that you will be bound by the Machol Merkaz Health Protocols that will be in effect at the time of camp, and that you will hold harmless OSRUI and Machol Merkaz, its organizers, guest instructors, and committee members from damages/costs associated with cancellation and/or with any injury, illness or harm that you or any members of your party might incur in conjunction with Machol Merkaz.

OPTIONAL: While we strongly recommend that you are up to date with the latest vax and boosters for which you are eligible, this is not mandatory.
